Elias Giannakakis (born in 1968) is a film director, screenwriter and producer of fiction and documentary films. He has shot over one hundred documentaries tackling a variety of subject matters. Since 2000 he has been a regular collaborator of the ET1 television arts and culture documentary series, Paraskinio. He has filmed two fantasy short films, Last Act (1996) and Patagonia (1999). His feature-length films, Alemaya (2004) and Hara (2012), both address the theme of the female psyche.
